My dad is always putting me down
hi, my dad is always putting me down and hurts me, a lot. I dont know how to handle it anymore. no one seems to care in my family.
what should I do?..I mean I like where I live but I dont like foster care.
um..help?
I would write a letter to them and put everything in it so they’ll know exactly how you feel and where you’re coming from…hopefully things will improve !!
I know how you feel. my dad does the same thing 2 me. just try not to let it affect you and deffenitly dont let it run your life.
Do the two of you just ever hang out together? A bike ride, going out for a burger together? Is it something that wouldn’t sound weird if you suggested it? I know it’s rare, and something you hardly ever see, because at a certain age we don’t really want to be around our parents much… but I wonder if it’s something you can try and change… is he stressed out about other areas of his life and its coming out in his critcisms of you?
hang in there. my family is a lot alike. try staying away from him. if that dosen’t work try talking. (works about 10% of the time). if that still dosen’t work try not caring. that works most of the time for me. if he says something ignore it. he says is not true then leave the room and forget about it. it better if you have a place you can go to, to either be alone or talk to someone you can trust.
