Who read the giver by lois lowry?
Im reading the giver by lois lowry and I got up to chapter 6. And there is a part that I dont get. This is it: although it was gabriel’s first december he wasnt assigned to a couple this year, what is going to happen to him? Like it said it but I dont understand. Like now that he hasnt been asigned a couple what will happen to him? Please answer for anyone who has read this book.
you ruined the book lol! you arent supposed to find out what RELEASE means till the end, basically he was chosen as the one to be realeased
He wasn’t assigned because the community for some reason or other didn’t want him. He is released. aka Put to death. When Jonas becomes the receiver he asked to see what happened to gabriel and when he finds out it makes him really sad.
That was one of my favorite books. I think it was about Socialism.
