What laptop do you have? Pros/cons?

Looking to buy a laptop. Wondering which brands have you had good luck with. Which ones to avoid. I know a lot depends on the user needs etc. but curious as to know which ones that you would recommend a friend to.

I have a MacBook Pro. It was a tad on the expensive side, but I would recommend it. It was much more user friendly than I initially thought it would be. I have had no viruses!
