What is the protein missing if you have Hemphilia?

Im writing a paper for class about Hemophilia and want to know what the protein needed for blood clotting is. I think its Platelets but not sure if its Hemoglobin either soo does anyone know? Any other info on Hemophilia would be appreciated:) Thanks!

I do not remember what the missing substance is , I had read it once, but it is not platelets these are part of the brain or vascular structure, and haemoglobin if I remember correctly are the red blood corpuscles, in any case it is I think if not mistaken the heavy coloured part of the blood and I am certain contains iron.
