Who We Are

Welcome to Lifeskills South Florida, a leading dual diagnosis treatment center located near Fort Lauderdale. Since 1991, we have been providing customized treatment programs for adults aged 18 and over who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Our team of experienced clinicians, led by doctoral-level or licensed professionals with national certifications, is dedicated to providing clinically excellent, evidence-based, and collaborative treatment programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

What We Do

At Lifeskills South Florida, we offer a range of comprehensive treatment programs designed to address a variety of mental health disorders and substance use disorders. Our Clinical Pathways, led by experts in their respective fields, are personalized based on each client’s clinical needs and diagnosis. We believe in flexibility throughout the treatment process to ensure that each individual’s recovery journey is tailored to their specific needs.

As a private-pay facility, we work with out-of-network benefits to help cover the cost of treatment. The length of stay and level of care required will determine the overall cost, with most clients starting at the residential level of care. We recommend a minimum of 60-90 days of treatment for optimal results. Our team assists clients in determining out-of-pocket costs and understanding their insurance benefits to make the treatment process as smooth as possible.

We are dually licensed to treat veterans with complex psychiatric disorders and/or primary substance use disorder diagnoses through the Community Care Network (CCN).

Our behavioral health center specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)-intensive programs and has expertise in caring for veterans with high psychiatric acuity, borderline personality disorder (BPD), trauma responses, and other specialized needs.
