What is the best way to study foreign language?

What is the best way to study foreign language? Age: 7. It’s my son. As I understand, the best way is communicating. Am I right?

Answer #1

The best way for me has always been to talk to people who knew the language well. That way I can get the right pronunciations and also learn some of the short slangs that people may use when talking to each other that might not be used in a classroom.

Ofcourse learning the proper forms of the language are also good especially at a younger age but the easiest way to learn (for me) has always been communicating with people who know the language or are native to the language.

Children up to the age of at least 10 usually have no trouble at all picking up a language if they are in a surroundings where only that language is spoken. See if you can find a playmate for your son who knows very little English - at least one of them will learn language skills from the other.
