what is the best breed of dog?

what is the best breed of dog that will come back when I call his/her name off lead? And which breed would be the best companion, (one that I could controll, and it would listen to me)?

it all depends on what your life is like are you active are you at home a lot do you go out a lot or travel I thinkk the best place to start is the pedigree website where you answere some questions and at the end the give you a choice of dogs to suit your lifestyle

You’re looking for a companion.. so I reccommend a low-level energy dog.. by that I mean the amount of exercite they need… and you probably don’t want a strong dog… because when they are agressive they can do more damage… so…

I reccommend a dog along the lines of a labrador or a golden retriever … all dogs will be able to do basic obedience though =P.

But… the most important thing is… not the breed… but the individual dog… you need to be able to pick out the dog that has a low-energy level and who is calm-submissive.. and to do that you need to know how so I reccommend reading Cesar Millan’s books.

As long as you exercise the dog every day.. and you are the pack leader, a lot of breeds will be good for you.

Maybe do some research on some breeds that have the traits that you are looking for.
