What is going on with the swelling in my jaw and cheek?
The other morning I woke up with a canker sore from biting my cheek in my sleep and the gland iin my chin/neck whatever was swollen and really sore to touch. This morning, when I got to school, my friend commented on how my face looked swollen. It wasnt that bad this morning. When I got home, I fell asleep, and when I woke up my jawline was so swollen I can barely open my mouth and the whole right side of my face is soo swollen and hurts like hell. Does anyone know whats going on or what I can do to get rid of the pain?
I get swollen face from time to time. inbetween my jaw and neck. I went hospital about this as it hurt and I had trouble eating. They told me it was my saliva glands getting blocked and the saliva swells up as it can not run in to the mouth. I got told I will grow out of it and have had less since. I think you should keep an eye on it, if it continues go to your local gp and get it checked out. They can help with painkillers and maybe refer you to hosp for further tests! Hope this has helped.
