What is a reasonable price to charge for babysitting?

I am going to start babysitting for a friend this Friday while she is at work.. 4-11. She has a 2 year old and a 5 month old, I will probably be making dinner for the older one, and putting them both to bed. What should I charge?

Answer #1

I am 19.. and both the boys are still in diapers.

Answer #2

3hrs- $20 4hrs- $25 5hrs-$30 6hrs-$35 and so on thats what I charge

Answer #3

ok then I think you should definetly ask for like 10 then. because you’re going to have to change diapers. but if that sounds llike too much for you then forget it and go for what you want. also you may want to look at there financial situation

Answer #4

ok so I usually do about $5 an hour.. but because you have two kids that one or maybe both will need to be changed you can ask for more try around like 8? or what ever feels right. I wouldnt go over $15 though.

Answer #5

In that case your an adult watching two babies for 7 hours. I would go with either 7 or 8 an hour if I were you, guessing you’ll be alloud to eat indoors and watch tv and stuff.

Answer #6

im guessing ill be able to eat there, not sure yet.. but I will be cooking them dinner, so I dont see why not. and yeah.. tv, play station, playing with the kids, which will probably be more entertaining than tv and play station put together :] haha. We are going to talk about it once she gets regular hours, but I just wanted to get an idea of what it should be. thanks guys :]

Answer #7

$7 an hour

Answer #8

depends on your own age. 7 sounds like a good deal, might even up it to 7 fifty
