What is a high metabolism?

My cousin said he thinks I have a high metabolism,so I was just wondering what that meant. when I asked him he said it has to do with not being able to gain lots of weight

okay,I was just wondering cause I ate like everything in my whole house once and didnt gain anything at all. is it normal for 13 year olds to have it though?

Yeah,when someone with that eats a lot,they don’t gain an ounce,like my dad.
