What** Does it take longer to boil water if you watch it?

It’ll just seem like the wait is longer because you are not being entertained by something. but if youre watching tv or something, the water will SEEM to boil quicker, because not all your focus is around it.

you staring at the water isnt going to make it cool down at all or make it heat up any faster…I think people just say this because when your standing around staring at the water and just setting there and waiting for it to boil that it seems to take it longer only because it is youll sole focus but when you walk away from it and find something else to do while you wait for it to boil it seems to boil much faster than when you stand and watch it, but it actually takes the same amount of time.

my grandpa and grandma always use to tell me this…so now when I boil water for whatever I never watch it, just in case lol

no…visual observation wont make a difference to boiling water
