What do you think of the letter Stacy sent to her mom

I LOVE YOU Dear Mom: (3/20/08): I love you with all of my heart but this is what goes through my mind:

(1) The part that really does bother me is when you said about not having a place to wear them. I feel that you are saying I should only wear/buy clothes if I have a somewhere to go. But I feel a person should buy and wear clothes for themselves as well as for going out

(2) I feel as if you are saying I should NOT have brought all that I have brought. But my response is that I am glad that I did. I love every item I brought.

(3) I also feel as if you are telling me I should never go again but I know you are not saying that.

I dont know why it bothers me so much. I should really just say to myself that is her opinion. But I just love all that I brought and I am so glad I did and I feel like you are fighting me in what I brought in the past.

I am sure I am making more of it than it is. DONT give me verbal answers. Write to me instead. I am so afraid that if you and I are verbal to one another we will get nasty. BUT I really want to get this resolved. And as a friend once said to me sometimes writing letters to one another is better than verbalizing.

I LOVE YOU

Answer #1

why do you keep posting about “stacy” and how do you know all this stuff she’s saying to her mom???

Answer #2

Perhaps if you gave people a idea as to what this letter pertains too you could get a useful reply however when no one has any idea what incident brought the letter is about, ie what she bought, where she brought it or where she was wearing it. How can you expect a reply that makes any sense?

Answer #3

Voterperson – Stacy’s relationship with her elderly mother is not healthy. I’m wondering if she should see a counselor and get this all straightened out. The things she worries about are so trivial, not to her, of course, but they shouldn’t be bothering her to this degree.
