What do you think about this , americans?

Well I study medicine in oiu , which stands for omddurman islamic university , and I know that americans dont like that word ,, islamic ,, so do you think I will be able to come to usa to work there as a doctor if so will it be easy ?

Answer #1

I dont think the word islamic is going to be your problem. I think not having studied in a recognized university is going to be a bigger problem.

Answer #2

Hey! I’m an american and the word islamic doesn’t bother me at all in fact my fist job was working at a pizza resuraunt for islamic muslims. So that is more of a sterio type and not something you can base facts on. Although I do know a woman that moved to this country from pakistan, she was a school teacher in her country and was very skilled. She was unable to become a teacher here in america because she had a a lot a difficulty with learning the english langauge. You should check into schools in the U.S.A. and see if the university will except your credits, in some counties the credits are worthless here for instance if you went to college in jamacia and then came to the U.S.A your amount of schooling wouldn’t count for anything due to there policies, and you would have to start from scratch.

Answer #3

ty has it right…there are very different medical standards in other countries than in the United States.

Also, there are different standards on a state by state basis, within the country…like practicing law, you need to be board certified to practice medicine.

So if you did want to practice medicine in the USA, you’d be far better off if you went to a university there.

Answer #4

Well, if you have the right capabilities than you should be able to work in USA. As long as you have skills required than you probably could work in the USA. If they dont accept you for going to an ‘islamic university’ than you can file a complaint angainst the place you apply for. But if you go to the U.S than I must warn you that there will probably be some racism about this issue.
