Who is a "real" American in your opinion?

I have to write an essay. I’m not really sure what to write..

I think a real american is anyone who was born here. Some argue that “Native Americans” are true americans, but if you do a little research you’ll find that native americans were orinially from Asia, yes they were the first to live in what is now america, but what the hell?

I thought exactly the same thing…you could go with ‘Native Americans’…since they were always here…or you can go with everyone who was born here, AND those who have become citizens since coming here…since America is considered the melting pot of the world.
