What do I do when my two neices are spoiled rotten BRATS?

I have two neices and they are the most annoying brats I’ve ever seen.My 5/yro neice (karley). She is the most spoiled one. Her mother and her grandma spoiled the crap out of them.And she makes these baby nosies and it makes me want to throw her across the U.S.And she sucked a pasiefire till she was 4/yro. She still wants to,but she took the lip gloss instead.Them there is kenzie.I hate it when she is here and here mama has to drop her of at my house. Cause she throws a tantrum it is horrid. With a capitil ‘H’ and when you dont let her have way she is so horrible.She plops down on the ground a crys,crys,crys and CRYS!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

You cant do anything. Except in your house the rules are different. Talk to the parent about the rules of your house and if the parent doesnt like it, she can find another babysitter. When they’re in your house, no baby noises. Otherwise you just ignore her until she speaks to you directly. If she cries, let her cry. She can only cry for so long. Whatever you do, dont give her what she wants. It is very important that this be consistent. If you break even one time, that is it. They will revert to previous bad behavior. First speak to the mother about the rules of your house. You dont have to imply that she’s doing a bad job. Just that this is how you do things. Lots of rewards for good behavior. E.g. doing what they are told, speaking directly, no baby noises, etc etc. Praise is always good (I knew you two were such big girls, it’s wonderful how you can play together quietly, or whatever…). Rewards are good too. But no bribing. That is not helpful and will be counterproductive in the long run.

Well in my opinion i just wouldn’t go there. My dad has kids like this and i just don’t go to his house anymore. Other wise if you have to go there or they’re at your house when they throw a fit just walk away and show no intrest in them. When they are behaving ask them to do something like drawing; although, don’t let them have their way. Shows you have weakness and will give into them. They push because they are used to getting what they want, so show them it doesn’t work with you.
