What do I do I was attacked by my own dog?
My own dog, a springer spaniel cross aggresively bit me in the face, I had to get 8 stitches for the main cut in my face, there was another bad one below it and 7 punctures inside my nose, almost pierced through. I’ve’e had her for 3 years since her birth. Help !
It’s too late to beat the dog…however THIS is a ‘spanking’ offense… the only one I can think of.
If this was a sudden, no warning thing…out of the blue, then the first thing you need to do is get a health check done by the Vet. ANY sudden change in animal behavior needs to have physical ailments eliminated.
Now if this behavior is one that has been escalating…has she growled at you lately, done anything that tells you she is challenging you for alpha position? Has anything happened in YOUR life that might have made her think you’re weak (a death, a break up, anything that might have caused grief). Also, be honest with yourself…were YOU doing anything that this dog could have misconstrued. Dogs will fight for their life if they think they have to.
Once that is done, you definately need a trainer to help you get back in the drivers seat, with this dog…the only other option is to put her down…
p
Beat .. I dont know, once my white german shepherd”2 years old” bite my hand.. NOt a minute later I got a stick and gave her a lesson. She’; actually looked sorry and I believe that she relieved that what she did is wrong, she actually licked the wound :O. Then we kissed :P. She never did it again.
Take your dog to behavior training. DO NOT BEAT YOUR DOG! DO NOT WRESTLE YOUR DOG! DO NOT JUST TOSS THE PET AWAY AND GET A NEW ONE!
This dog needs help. You are it’s owner and should do what is needed to HELP your dog.
^ you DONT beat your dog unless your defending yourself from it if your dog often growls at you and just doesnt like you, the best thing to do would be to get a new pet you could try spending more time with it and asking your vet for helpful tips but if the dog doesnt like you, its going to be hard to make it change
well if it attacks you then you attack the dog. just dont like give it a bruise or hurt it. just wrestle
