You may find that your Dad is equally uneasy discussing your weight with you. I would be surprised to learn that your desire to lose weight, or your discomfort with your weight is a surprise to your Dad. Dad’s know more about what’s going on than you might think. Along with knowing, your Dad might also be very sensitive and so is hoping that you might ask him for advice or help. I don’t know anything about the tea you want to try but unless there is something about the tea that isn’t safe, I imagine that your Dad would at least be considerate. Of course, once you’ve taken him into your confidence about this an issue that is really troubling to you, you’re letting your Dad know that you love him, trust him, and that you’re open to sharing your feelings with him. So I think you’ll get a lot more from this experience than just the tea. Good luck, and I hope that you have a wonderful year at school.

You really should address your weight concern with your family doctor.

Do not try any pills or teas or the such without consulting with your doctor.

Your doctor can then go over a regimen and advise you in the best manner how to go about losing the weight you want to lose.
