How should I ask my dad to get my belly pierced?

I want to get my belly button pierced. I’ve looked it up and read all about it, etc. I know the risks and everything. I really want to get it done, but I’m not sure what my dad will say. My parents are divorced and I live with my dad. I asked my mom what she would do if I got it done and she said she thought it would be cool. I just have to ask my dad but I’m kind of nervous. He’s deffinitly not strict or anything so I don’t know why I’m nervous but I am. So, how should I ask him?

how about you ask him, if he says no. don’t get it done behind his back, he will not trust you anymore. wait till you’re older, like 16. you’re only 13 years old.. you have a lot of time to get your belly button pierced. but if you go behind his back, your teenagers years won’t be fun, because he’s not going to trust you.

Well I think in a nice calm relaxed manner you go “hey dad I just want to ask you something but before you through your father like rage at me. Can I please get a belly peircing!!!” then you go on about what you learned through your vigorous studies and prove to him you mature enough to take care of it.
