What are some background Ideas for this tattoo my father just got?

My father just got this tattoo and he thinks it needs a little something in the background. It’s based on a Grateful Dead design of Robert Johnson (20’s-30’s blues guitarist) in skeletal form playing the guitar. In the version my father has, he’s in a pin striped suit. He was thinking of an angel and devil on either side and flames for the background. Any ideas would be much appreciated! THANKS!

Sounds pretty awesome. Can you upload a pic of it? That would make it easier to come up with ideas. I like the devil/angel idea. Maybe make them small and have one on each shoulder, looking like they’re arguing or telling the skeleton guy what to do.

Wow! That’s a pretty sweet tattoo. Now that I’ve seen it, I don’t know if I like the angel/devil idea. I think it may make it look a little cluttered. I do like the idea of flames behind it but I like it just the way it is too.
