What Am I Sick With And How Do I Treat It?

Right now I’m not feeling the greatest. Everyone thinks I’ve caught another bug but we don’t know what it is. I’ve been sick at least twice (with loads of bile), going hot and cold, eyes watering and stinging, stomach pain (which might just be my IBS), nausea, tiredness, aches/pains all over and worst of all my throat is very raw. It burns as though I’ve still got bile in my throat and I haven’t been able to swallow anything without a lot of pain. I’ve tried iced drinks, warm drinks, cough sweets and a sorbet (like ice-cream only without dairy products). But my throat is just as irritated as ever, plus I’m coughing quite a bit. It’s not tonsilitis because I’ve had those out and I don’t think it’s in my lungs. Does it sound like it might be serious enough to go to the doctor? I’ve found out that they can’t do much for sore throats any more (at least not where I live).

Answer #1

You should try the doctor so he can give you an antibiotic. When I have sore throats I gargle warm salt water (it’s disgusting but it makes it feel better).

Answer #2

u might have mono if the glands in your neck are swollen or look in your throat to see if it is infected if you see any white that means go to the doc if not and your pain gets worse go to the docs anyway to get some meds or something

Answer #3

It could be a number of things..and with sore throats they usually can treat them unless its a common cold that will go away on its own. you could have strep throat or mono..both cured with medicine but will just get worse if you dont go.
