No, but tight elastic hair ties do cause breakage and split ends and make your hair appear more unhealthy.

Not at all. Unless youve wrapped it too tight while it’s wet, it will cause damage and breakage.

I dont think so its not preventing it from anathing, I wear a hair tie all the time and I wish my hair would grow a bit slower.
