How to get my kitten to keep his food down?

I have a 5 month old kiitten who acts normal but vomits after eating. He sleeps normal, has plenty of energy but cant keep his food down. Any advise?

Yup, Nemex is the dewormer we use at the Humane Society on every animal that enters, whether they have worms in their feces or not (they can be in the intestines anyway). It’s only $7 at our clinic, so don’t worry about it being too expensive.

Before doing any hairball treatments, take your kitten to the vet and get some GOOD wormer…All kittens and all puppies are born with worms…if they aren’t wormed before given away, the worms get worse…

I think your kitten is too young yet to have a hairball problem…

So…I say again…GO TO THE VET!!

First I’d try feeding him smaller amounts… maybe 6 smaller meals instead of 3 larger ones? Or try switching to a different cat food. One of my cats vomits when I give her cheaper food.

I now have 2 cats and 1 kitten, when I 1st got my new kitten, all my other cats plus the kitten were vomiting all day every day, I thought that maybe it was because I introduced a new cat into the household they were trying to eat as much as possible before the others would eat it all, but then I found out that my cat had worms, which is extremely common in kittens, mosty all kittens have worms. So I got my kitten de-wormed and the throwing up stopped. Just take the kitten to the vet and have them de-worm it. Dont even bother having them test the feeces 1st because it costs LOT OF MONEY, just have them do it, Even if it doesnt have the worms, it wont hurt the kitty. hope I helped you

Sounds like hairballs. . . try some hairball formula treats.
