Is 1GB Video Card Better then 512mb???

Motherboard: EVGA nForce 750i SLI FTW Motherboard

Video Card: XFX GeForce 9600 GSO Video Card

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 Processor BX80571E5300

Memory : Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 2048MB)

Can you guys tell me if that would be a good build …im mostly trying to build it for empire total war

You will have more video memory, as 1 GB is 1024MB, but was to whether the 1 GB card is better, it depends on the other specs too.

Computerguy, that is untrue A few friends of mine half dual 1Gb vid cards as well as new Core I7 and they can’t run some games on full, this includes Fallout 3

Video Memory is one thing, the features supported makes the games play better. You could easily have a 512mb video card that is faster, or more advanced than a 1GB video card.

Although a video card with 1gb of video memory is probably advanced enough to play any game at it’s best settings.
