very tiny black bugs

My yorkypoo have these little tiny black bugs around her belly and private area. they don’t jump but almost glide across her. I’ve shampooed her with the Hartz flea, tick and lice shampoo as well as used the powder afterwards, she’s ok for about a 1/2 hour then she’s scratching and cleaning herself again like crazy, I check her again and I still see more bugs, like two or three more! I don’t know what else to do. Do anyone have any idea what these little pests may be??? and what I should do to get rid of them.??? HELP

Answer #1

wash your dog NOT watch sorry. Also if you dont know what they are and they dont go away I also suggest that you go to the vet.

Answer #2

just wondering do you live out bush or past the 26 parralel? it could be sticky fleas which apparently have to be picked off with tweazers 1 at a time! Not joking! thats what we have to do 2 our dogs because they have sticky fleas.

Answer #3

Hartz products suck and you may as well throw your money in the trash can, and can be very bad for your pets. Take her to the vet make sure they are fleas or whatever they are and buy a good monthy flea and tick treatment like Frontline, Advantix and apply it to her.

Answer #4

Find out what they are before you try and treat them…take her to the Vet, if you’re sure they aren’t fleas…

She may be allergic to the bug (if it’s a biting bug like a flea, and that could account for the bath soothing the itch for a short time)

Answer #5

besides treating your dog, you must treat all the areas that she likes to be in, esp. her bedding and any favorite nap spots. Fleas can live off of your pets for a while and will reinfest later.

Good Luck!!

Answer #6

Very tricky. I say take her to the vet or google these pests and how to get rd of them.

Answer #7

it could be fleas/ticks. The best thing that you can do is watch your dog. if you have already done that then you should waash the places that she goes, example - her bed, a pillow or any kind of material that the little black bugs could burrow into. Wash your dog and the things she uses througly to make sure that none of these little black bugs can get into them again. if youu have done all of this I suggest that you wash your dog throughly one more time and buy her new things if you can . hope my advice helps. :)
