What is the true meaning of the celestial sun?

My dad took me from my mom when I was little, and every time she wrote me a letter, she’d always draw this really pretty sun on the envelope. I brought that up to her and she told me it was a celestial sun, and this whole time it actually meant something. But she won’t tell me what, she wants me to figure it out. She wants me to get it tattooed, which would be pretty cool…but what does it mean? the internet is giving me different answers, so I want to ask my FunAdvice buddies. :P

yeah, I saw that on wiki answers… but I haven’t found that same meaning anywhere else.. but it seems like a pretty good one to go by.. I’ll have to ask my mom.. thanks sweetie pie :P
