What triggers acid reflux?

I get acid reflux all the time. I’ve been taking medicine for it, and it helped a lot, but not completely. Recently, my blood pressure was a little high. Sometimes I feel dehydrated. Can stress also cause it to happen? What can I do to get it under control?

Answer #1

I always heard that it was stress and unhealthy eating that caused it. My dad has acid reflux and when he started eating clean and exercising and cut most stressful things out of his life, it got a million times better.

oh okay. Thanks(:

Answer #3

For me, it was triggered by starting to drink hard liquor. For a while, I couldn’t eat citrus, tomatoes, eggplant, or other acidic foods. I stopped drinking (except wine), and it went away.
