Should I keep poking at my toothache?

Hi, sexi_kitty. When you get tooth decay down deep, it causes pressure to build up and that is a big reason for the pain. When you poke it with your earring, it causes a small break that allows the pressure to escape for a while. But all that poking will probably cause more germs (and maybe worse ones) to get into the area, and that could be a mess. Also, what might be a simple fix right now could get to be a big problem if not taken care of. (I have had a tooth pulled because I waited too long for a dental visit.) Amblessed is right. You need to see a dentist.

Good Luck!!
