Tips on shaving the bikini area without getting bumps etc?

I'm into the skimpy-on-the-hair look for between my legs, but I jsut have so many problems with ill effects from hair removal.

I get bump, sometimes the acne-looking bumps, and recently I started getting ingrown hairs. I find it all disgusting. The hair down there is starting to look more and more appealing at this point.

I've tried shaving with special creams (like the oft-mentioned Coochy Shave), shaving only in the direction of the air, plucking some stray hairs, and a sugar-based solution that works like how wax.

The sugar solution seems to work the best, but it's a pain in the a$$ and make it hard to get good removeal coverage (hence the plucking of the stray hairs which was a BAD idea and was what first fave me in-gown hairs).

I love that smooth smooth feeling and would like to acheive it. What the f do all those porn stars do to get their nice shaves?

Suggestions, ladies?

Thanks, g.

ok, i know exactly how you feel, i used to get them under my arms aswell. so terrible. i wen to the doctor and she suggested waxing, then she prescribed me some cream to put on the bumps (ingrown hairs) its like a bacteria cream and get rid of them. not expensive at all. so ive been getting my underarms waxed (professionally) for months now and wow you wouldnt belive they are so good now. ive just started my bikini line and yeah its gettin better it takes a few months, im still getting the bumps but not as much and not as many. try waxing professionally its worth it in the long run. but im saving for laser treatment but its soooooo expensive so thats going to be in years to come. good luck !!!!!

This is hard but it is the way to go if you cannot afford waxing, removal, etc. GROW IT OUT til it is really pretty long. It will seem awful since you are used to being shaved but trust me this worked! I think it allows the area to “heal”. The bumps disappear and the ingrowns will grow out. After you have “grown out” THEN shave! Using your creames/gel to help you shave very slowly in the direction against growth. Im telling you you will notice a difference.

As longs I shave down there every couple of daysit looks great, feels great. Have no itching & no bumps. Just wish I wouldn’t have waited so long for a complete hair removal.

I think most models have pro-wax jobs or electro-static hair removal and those other expensive things done. But good luck with that, I know what you're talking about and it really isn't all that great and kind of a deterrent actually. (the bumps, looks like she's in pain)

I have the same problem and I HATE is beyond belief, I’m just really not sure what to do. I’ve been shaving for about 3 yeahs now and it’s still not really all that better. IRS pissing me off!

I suffer from the same problem.I used to have it really bad whereby the bumps left a scar on the bikin area which wasnt very sightly.the best ting to do is not pick the bumps if you get them, try and completely ditch shaving or do this on rare occasions.opt for waxing but this can at times cause bumps.however, the longer you have been waxing for, the hair in the bikin area will get lighter and finer therefore less likely to become ingrowing. The most effective way to resolve this problem of ingrowing hari would be laser but that isnt the cheapest way out. hope you have some luck with what I have recommended
