Does anyone have any tips for improving the lighting somehow on this picture?

Have you ever tried adjusting the contrast in this picture? As well, if you are able to get your hands on photoshop, you can use the adjust the contrast as well as many other settings. Also, you could use the “dodge” tool to help create hi-lights in some areas.

I suggest uploading it to picnik; it’s very professional and easy to use to edit pictures. Once you’ve got it uploaded, tweak the contrast and brightness. Hope this helps! :) x maymay.

yeah this is what i was talking about with sumopaint. It has an option to adjust contrast, but you can use it for free although i do prefer PS it comes with a price :)

Yeah, i hav PS, but i can’t put it on my comp cause i hav a mac and our version is only for pcs, but Sumopaint is working well =]

I have separated the under-exposed and over-exposed areas tweaked the contrast, brightness and colour saturation levels a bit Generally speaking you should avoid including bright ;light sources (like the sky) if you are putting the main subject in deep shadow ….. ….. unless you illuminate with a flash light.
