the tea party movement was an act established by British Parliament to encourage the Americans to buy tea from Britain at a lower price, from a company that had too much extra tea which resulted in the famous Boston Tea Party as an act of defiance and revolt because then the American importers/exporters would go out of buisness. or at least that’s how i remember it…………….it’s been 3 months since i learned all that… you might want to double check
