How do you use the table of values in math?

Like how would you use it to put it into a graph or equation, or and equation/graph into the table of values? (Table of values is the x and y values)

Answer #1

Treat the x and the y in the table is the coordinates of your graph. To use the table to graph a graph, you simply take the x and the y and treat it as a coordinate. (x,y) x often moving right or left, and y often moving up or down. When you have an equation that you need to put into your table. Start with the y. Put y down as -2,-1,0,1,2, or just as regular positive numbers. Any group of numbers is fine. After you have your numbers on the y side, you substitute the value that you have chosen as the y in the equation and solve for x. The value of the x that you get, goes in the x side for your table.
