The film revolves around a young couple who are terrorized by three masked assailants, Kristen and James have attended a wedding and after they go to their summer house, they later encounter Dollface, Man in the mask and pin up girl, who terorrize them, I won’t go into what happens so I don’t spoil the movie for you but it is implied that they are terrorizing them just because it is fun, the movie was inspired by by true events from director Bryan Bertino’s childhood: a stranger came to his home asking for someone who was not there, and Bertino later found out that empty homes in the neighborhood had been broken into that night
