Still can I move out

Uhh I am 17 but cant I move out if I get emancipated???

Answer #1

Like ty said, you need a good reason. Not wanting to live with your parents won’t be good enough. So if you try this, you better have a damn good reson.

You also need proof that you have a seady source of income, a place to live, and you still have to go to school.

At 17, you’re better off waiting another year until you’re 18. It’s not even worth trying to get emacipated when you only have a year left. By the time the process was done with, you’d be pretty close to 18 anyway.

yes, but the courts rarely grant emancipation. You need to show that you have a place to live, a way to earn money, and have a good reason for wanting to be emancipated
