Staying awake while having to study...?

Ok, my semester tests are coming up (starting on tuesday) and I need to study…problem is by 9 at night I feel dead…does anyone have any tips (except drinking anything containing caffeine) for actually staying awake?

I mean I usually live on bout 6 hours of sleep…but now it’s like I need at least 8-9 and I really can’t afford it…so any advice?

Answer #1

If you do some (light) exercise, it can help you stay awake…and make sure that while you do sleep, you sleep as well as possible.

Eg, try to make sure lights off, doors closed, all is quiet, make sure you don’t have any allergy issues as those can wake you up, etc.

A brisk walk (15 min or so) in the night air can also help you clear your head…though, over the long term, you’ll simply crash & need more sleep. Eating stuff with lots of vitamins & nutrition can help as you’ll feel more energized, eg, fruits & veggies. Good luck with the exams!

Answer #2

I know it might sound slightly faggy, but drinking a glass of warm milk before you go to bed makes you sleep better.

Try that…and as said before light exercise in the late afternoon to get you refreshed. Also try avoid big meals…they usually make you more tired.
