Why have I only just started bleeding while on the pill? (read more)

Im on the pill with a week break, i started that week off on wednesday and ive only just started bleeding (lightly) what was the delay?

That’s perfectly normal. It took a couple days because it takes the body that long to realize what’s going on when you stop the contraceptive ones and take the active ones. It takes me three days to start bleeding, same with everyone else I’ve spoken to about it! :)

It’s completely normal; it will take a couple of days for the body to start up it’s natural processes as the pill will sort of “send the uterus to sleep”. It is also common that “spotting” will occur on pill-taking days for the first few months. I’m on the same pill for medical reasons and it normally takes 3-4 days for me to start too so don’t worry about it :)
