Software downloads wont work

Im trying to download software on to my computer like frostwire and fruity loop well basicly anything but everytime I try it wont work I try to save it to my desk top but after the down load is compleat it just disapers I cant find it any wher

Check that it really IS going to your desktop. Once downloaded and it ISNT there, try doing a FULL search on your computer for it (remember the exact filename, maybe write it down) Depending on program you can run it from the download program, if that makes sense.

Also, maybe anti spyware/virus etc software is blocking it. Maybe if you have windows security up tooo high it may block it? Just taking a guess here though.
