When will I know if it will get infected?

I got my belly pierced about a month and a week ago. I went to the club yesterday so I decided to change it. a lot of people say when they changed there belly rings early, it got infected. my belly is fine except its a lil sore but my ? is how long will it take for an infection to develop or will one develop?

well you should have waited at least 3 months before changing it your navle ring still hasnt fully healed and it probably hurt while changing it because its still trying to heal itself its possible that it could get infected because of this especially if you didnt have clean hands or the jewelry wasnt sterile just make sure you clean it reguarly and it should be ok but its common for them to get infected, and theyll usually heal themselves in a month or two if its continues to hurt or changes colour go back to the peircer and get it taken out
