Should we share our salary info?

I’ve heard a lot of discussion about whether people should share their salaries or not. What do you think? Please give your reasons for why you are for or against.

It is my personal opinion that salaries are not for public knowledge. I think if alot of companies wanted employees to know how much everybody was earning, then it would be posted on the Bulletin Board in the breakroom.

It really is none of anybody’s business but it is up to individuals if they want to share or not. But be prepared for backlash if you are earning more then JoeSchmo, an individual who has more seniority then you and more experience then you.
