So.. Justin, you never did ask me what Brett Hull said… lol. He said, years later after being coached by Mike, that sometimes when he was on the ice he’d look over at his coach on the bench and he’d want to cut Mike’s eyes out with his hockey stick.

Hey Justin, I’m a hockey mom from GA, and luckily my husband coaches my son’s team now. But, we’ve had some real winners for coaches in the past. The most important thing to remember is this… Don’t ACT better than the rest of the team…PLAY better than the rest of the team. But, play like a teammate. Pass the puck, be supportive of the coach and the other players, and really show what a mature hockey player you are. If you act like a respectful hockey player and play for the love of the game, then everyone’s attitude about you will be positive. I hope you keep playing. Hockey is an awesome sport and we need to keep our numbers up and recruit more young players, eventually it’ll be as big as football everywhere in this country. Good luck, and play hard!

Don’t quit… you’re going to run into bad coaches a lot. You have to learn how to deal with every type if you want to be a good player. Impress the hell out of the new coach ;)

Did you ever hear what Brett Hill said about Mike Keenan?
