Should I get a Perm?

This post is for only the people who have experienced on having perms. Well I’m black and I would want a black girls’ perspective/opinion. sorry.

Both of my sisters have perms and I’m the only one who have my natural hair still. It’s thick but I have a weave in it. I’m attending college soon and I’m thinking about having my hair permed but I haven’t had one since I was 12. I’m tired or wearing full head sewn in weaves because it gets itchy.

Any suggestions?

well im half african american so I can answer this!!lol first we dont get perms we get relaxers.not to correct you,its to make sure when you walk into a shop and they dont know anything,you tell them you want;straight[relaxer]not perm[curly].second,I say you should go for.college is a lot of stress and the last thing you want to be stressing about is your hair.with a relaxer[if you get a wrap like most do]you can wake up,take the scarf off,brush it down and walk out the door.whereas,you keep it natuarl,youll either have to wake up early to straighten it,find something new to do to it every other day,or go bohemian where you just wrap cloth or a headband around the front and rock the natural fro[this is cute but eventually gets old].so I say go ahead and get it.cant go wrong if you have the right people.hope I helped!

lol Its perm and relaxer to everyone. Perm hair to get curly results and relaxers to make hair straight.

Not just African Americans.

Also, if you want a really good straightening system I know a few.. They are very expensive.. but work very very well. I’ve tried them all lol =)
