Does anyone know anything about sexual addictions?

I have a sex addiction. I have dealt with it for the last 18 years of my life. You are not horny all the time and want to have sex with anything that looks good. It’s more subtle than that. If you find your self in unhealthy situation related to sex, find your self cheating on your partner, spending money on sex that should go to other bills, and the like, when you promise your self that you wont do a particular thing again and you continue to do it, then your are more than likely addicted. I was never really interested in porn, because I wanted the real thing, and no form of porn would do it for me. Now if you just want to have sex all the time, your only problem may be youth. And that’s normal.

Read any document about drug addiction, and replace the drug with the word sex and you will pretty much have your answer.

I figured out my addiction after my divorce of a marriage of 15 years. I was crushed and felt so hurt that I used sex to comfort my self. I would experiment just to see what I could do; how long I could go, how many times in a day I could have sex, how many hookers I could pick-up and convince to have sex with me and not charge, and on and on. After about 1-1/2 years of having sex 1 to 3 times a day, I saw it affecting my business, so I decided to quit. But after about a mount of quitting everyday I realized I had a problem. It took me about 10 more years to get it under control.
