Can schools suspend students for refusing to recite the pledge of allegiance?

explain.

Answer #1

no. technically its against the law because you cant be subjected to something like that just in case of your family’s religious views or political views. it just like the reason why they cant do anything religious in school

Answer #2

In Canada they can.. seriously they can’t in America?

Answer #3

Umm here in america in public schools it is against the law not to say the pledge of allegiance and not to have a moment of silence. It is just a law that is not often looked upon. Just like removing ur hat when u enter a building. The pledge has nothing for religious views or anything cuz I know muslims who will say it. It never states under one CATHOLIC god or MUSLIM god it is vague in under one god. And if ur politcal views are different than freedom GTFO and move.

Answer #4

I don’t think so because that’s against the constititon, everyone has the freedom of speech. At my school we are supposed to say it everyday but when it’s time to get up and say it no one ever says it we jsut stand there.
