where do i put an amateur radio in a smart car?

Answer #1

Antennas are a challenge as there isn’t much mounting area that you can get a ground plane happening (I am trying to figure that one out for the XM radio). The body panels are plastic though so you could mount the antenna under them - or if really ambitious get a roll of copper foil tape and turn the panels into an antenna. You do have two mount points in the back to put a rack on for whip antennas but interference with the doors might be an issue.
