I used to have long hair and my mom keept telling me to cut it… Also, I like dressin’ with black (or dark) clothes, she says I have to change.

Do you know what I found out? My mom used to be a goth, LOL! I lol’d hard when I saw her usin’ goth clothes and stuff.

I honestly don’t see what’s so wrong with your mother telling you that you act and dress punk..it’s not that big of a deal.

That’s how moms are,my mom doesn’t really know my FULL life style,I told her I am Goth but she thought I was kidding but I proved her wrong by just showing it. Moms & Dads are like that,you have to get used to it or ask them to be more polite with you.

All of them who answered are right.. but I go through the same, im not emo or goth- bu t I always wear black, baggy, chains and chokers… and yea, when peopel see me in pink or othr colors they get sooo shocked! I mean I tried telling my mom and dad too that I am not goth or watevz thats just my style either black kor boyish and yea… parents do want there children to be “perfect” but thats one thing that may be hard to change.. I mean respect your parents idea but if you badly and truly want to be and dress that way or watev then do it… see I wanted to pierce my belly, highlight my hair… and they though I was goth!!! HAHAHA
