How to properly and completely and harmlessly remove vegetable oil from my rabbit's fur?

Answer #1

Hmm, I remember seeing a commercial for dawn liquid soap, they were rescuing the penguins from the oil spill and were using dawn liquid soap to wash it off the penguins. I have to assume that if they were permitted to use that particular soap to wash the oil spill off the penguins, perhaps it might be safe enough to help remove the vegetable oil off your rabbit’s fur. I may be wrong…always consult a vet…

Hope this helped.

Answer #2

Agreed, plain diswashing liquid (sunlight liquid should help). Alternatively get shampoo for pets.

Answer #3

Bathing a bunny can be really stressful and harmful to them (they will struggle and are therefore exposed to injury). Make a trip to your local pet store and look for a waterless shampoo. You should then be able to apply it to the areas that are oily/dirty (just follow the package directions).
