Hi,

Public schools are free. And most, if not all, have special education classes for people with learning or mental disabilities. You and your parents should discuss your brother’s future with the Principal of your local school.

Check with your state education department (they may even have a website). Many states have charter schools which are schools that are privately run but the states give them the same funds per child from tax money that they give the public schools. Some states also have education voucher programs where the parents are given a voucher equal to the amount the state would pay a public school for a child and these can be used to pay for the private school. Many of these charter and and other private schools that are eligible for vouchers specialize in students with special needs and they often have better results with these types of students than the public schools.
