Can someone in prison co-sign for a car if he has good credit?

No. It is against prison policy for an inmate to enter into any legal contract while incarcerated, with the exception of signing divorce papers, assigning power of attorney to someone else or relinquishing parental rights
I seriously doubt it, how would the inmate make the payments if the other person defaulted on the loan?
No, if someone is in prison they have no rights !
