Is popcorn okay to feed a dog?

Answer #1

I would have thought so

Answer #2

Yes, My mom has it a lot of nights and she gives both my dogs some to eat and then of course my bird will be sitting on the side grabbing his own popcorn out to eat lol :) She doesn’t give the buttery one to them, so tht might make a difference what kind you give them, cause that one kind is loaded with butter.

No “table food” is accpetable to feed to dogs. They have dog food because of the nutrients in it. “Table food” Doesn’t have the same nutrients as dog food. That’s why they make dog food. If you feed a dog “table food” it causes their teeth to rot.

Answer #9

Corn is a main ingredent in many dog foods. As long as it is not slathered in arifical junk it’s fine. I give my dogs air popped popcorn from time to time. But never too much.

Answer #10

I’d think its okay to give your dog stuff like that once in a while, but not very often, because it isn’t good for your dog. It’ll be okay to toss him a peice once it while, if thats what you’re asking (:

Answer #11

Answer #12

Its fine. I fed my dog it for 12 years.

Answer #13

Actually…table food is good for dogs as long as it fits within the diet restrictions. Now a whole bowl of popcorn is not acceptable but a few pieces thrown here and there are fine as long as its not flavored with like cheese or whatever.

@ShyAne: if you read dog food ingredients the things in it are the things humans would eat also…..

ALSO it you are considering “table food” as a regular I have a list of the things you DEF want to avoid and the things that are ok.

Answer #14

yes it is a nice treat for the dog but do not give it large amounts, or everyday.

Answer #15

Make sure the pop corn has no kernels in it…it is more likely to cause the animal to choke just as humans
