How do you Draw Pon and Zi

How do you Draw Pon and Zi With out having their heads looking like a rock? when o try to draw them…it does NOT look like pon and zi it looks like a rock with their body =[

make a circle erase the side of it you want to look sharper then add what you need too add

It’s really hard since there heads look like a rock anyways =) But I find that the easyest way is to make sure that part of there head is a perfect half/ 3/4 circle and then that there mouth ends in a point. Coloring it in will help too. Make there eyes really expressive, and shading the head and the body will help make them look more realistic. Hope this helps!
