recently took photos while at an event, now boss wants to remove my copyright?

I recently took photos at an event, i went as press representing a company i work for occasionally, i have no contract and was not paid but i was put up in a bed and breakfast for two nights along with another co worker, but it was room only, the company is an online programs type website and we were there to interview people and take video clips, my boss asked if i’d take a few photos, i said i was taking some anyway as i’m trying to build a portfolio, so i got home after 3 very long days, edited the photos and put my copyright on them, now after speaking to him he wants to put the company logo on them which i dont mind at all, but he wants to remove my copyright also and intends to try remove them, can he do that without my consent?

I’m not a lawyer and I’ve only sold a few photographs but the problem here seems to be that it was not clear what your company and your own expectations were. I don’t think there is any way to bridge the gap here and that either way one of you is going to feel cheated. In the future you should nail it down better exactly what deliverables are expected, what expenses will be covered, and what remuneration will be paid.
